Solution-focused therapy is a goal-directed collaborative approach to psychotherapeutic change. The focus is on building solutions rather than solving concerns. It explores current resources and future hopes rather than present problems and past causes.
With CBT we’ll come to understand how our emotions, thoughts, behavior and body sensations, are linked to each other and that whatever people think and whatever they do, affects how they feel. Also, changes in one of these will cause changes in the others.
DBT is an interplay of science and practice in order to strive to continually balance and synthesize acceptance and change-oriented strategies. With Dialectical Behavioral Therapy we’ll acknowledge the need for change in a context of acceptance of situations and recognize the constant flux of feelings—many of them contradictory.
Narrative therapy seeks to be a non-blaming approach to counselling which centers people as the experts in their own lives. It is a form of therapy that aims to separate the individual from the problem, allowing the individual to externalize their issues rather than internalize them.
Bibliotherapy incorporates the use of books as therapy in the treatment of mental conditions.
General Family Therapy explores the interactional dynamics of the family and its relationship to improve the communication, solve family problems, understand and handle special family situations, and create a better functioning home environment.
Our stress management sessions are designed to teach clients practical skills and strategies to manage stress more effectively. We help clients identify the sources of their stress and develop coping mechanisms to reduce its impact on their daily lives.
REBT is used to identify and dismantle self-defeating thought patterns and feelings, challenge the nature of irrational and unproductive feelings, and replace them with healthier, more productive beliefs.
Play therapy is a form of therapy that uses play activities where few rules are imposed on a child, allowing the child free and spontaneous expression of feelings in order to help children through mental and emotional issues.
Positive psychotherapy is based on a positive conception of human nature and aims to focus on the positive events and influences in life.
ACT therapy works by focusing on mindfully accepting life experiences, emotions and feelings as they come – without evaluating or trying to change them. When aiming to be more accepting of your thoughts and feelings, commitment plays a key role to a positive approach that will help push you forward while resisting the temptation to rehash the past.
Our mind-body wellness sessions help clients cultivate greater awareness of the mind-body connection and develop practices to support their overall health and well-being. We offer a range of mind-body techniques, such as mindfulness, yoga, and meditation, to help clients reduce stress, improve sleep, and enhance their overall quality of life.
